Hello C55 Students - We are starting to firm up plans for the visit to the ConForce precast yard on Wednesday March 5. Please note the following:
- This class is optional and there is no assignment.
- The yard is located at 8828 River Road in Delta. You are responsible for your own transportation. There is bus service ("640 Ladner Exchange") along River Road but would encourage car pooling with your classmates. I can help fascilitate that in upcoming classes.
- Timing still to be finalized but will likely start earlier than 6:30 to take advantage of daylight (sunset is at 6:03pm that day).
- PPE will be required. As a minimum, you will need to bring your own steel-toe boots (with CSA green triangle). Ideally, you bring all of your own PPE (vest, hardhat, gloves) but we can find spare PPE if necessary.
- After the tour, we will reconvene at a local eatery for snacks and beverages. Location TBD. A good chance to connect I hope.
Please email me (keith.holmes@wsp.com) by Feb 7 to confirm (a) are you attending the site tour? (b) do you need any PPE?; (c) will you be joining the social gathering afterwards?
